For as long as I can remember, I have always been connected to the Arts: working as an educator for more than 15 years instructing courses in Drama and English, participating in script writing, content creation, live theatre productions, and now working as an Educational Consultant for children’s media where I have worked on properties broadcasted on both TVO and TFO. I love when art and life blend.

Being fluent in both French and English allows me to work with, translate, or refer clients to both French and English guidance as they work to create quality content. J'aime collaborer sur des projets à la fois éducatifs et engageants pour les jeunes téléspectateurs.

When it comes to connecting media to learning outcomes, I know curriculum inside and out.

I have worked as an elementary educator for over 20 years, and have become a curriculum specialist in Ontario. Beyond being a lead teacher for grades from 1 to 8, I hold Specialist Qualifications in the areas of Reading and Special Education, as well as Advanced Life Skills. My training as a Special Education Resource Teacher allows me to support Children's Media that is building content inclusive of neurodiversity.

Outside of the classroom, I carry over my knowledge of curriculum into facilitating professional development workshops and courses, contributing content for websites and publications, and over the past few years working with production companies to establish meaningful content for viewing and within Digital Media platforms.

I am passionate about supporting excellence in media by making meaningful connections to curriculum and learning.

I have worked in education for multiple years as an Art Instructor, Academic Coach, and Coding Teaching Assistant. As a lover of language, visual arts, and digital media, I am always excited to work on projects that bring all of these things together.

Teaching and learning are what drive and motivate me. My commitment to learning manifested itself years before I achieved my Bachelors in English when I was avidly writing stories and selling original characters I had drawn. After graduating with more than 10 years of writing and visual art experience behind me, I completed an intensive program in web development.

As an artist and writer, I am interested in the dynamic between visuals and words, analyzing what the two mediums can achieve in collaboration. Coding similarly gives me an outlet to learn and advise on the unique relationship between digital technologies and art.

Within the world of Media, here I can combine all of my passions and provide specialized consultation in areas of language, arts, and digital media.
